The World According to Peter La Barbera and Americans for Truth
I have written before about the “big question.” Where do people like La Barbera see gays in the world when their mission is complete. What end goals are people like La Barbera working for? What happens to gays and lesbians who don’t subscribe to his insane notions? Are we in jail? Are we in camps waiting to be gassed? Does La Barbera really think his hate for us is stronger than our love for our partners? The answer is in.
La Barbera writes on his blog (bold print mine):
LaBarbera is encouraging conservatives and people of faith likewise to think long-term. “We must retain the goal of repealing all ’sexual orientation’ laws - in Illinois and across the nation - since they are incompatible with the basic American freedoms of religion, conscience, and association,” he says on his group’s website. “And we must act to protect marriage as between a man and a woman at the state and federal constitutional levels.”
Repeal of all “sexual orientation” laws? So in other words, he wants to reinstate Sodomy laws and make homosexuality illegal? He wants to roll back nondiscrimination laws so we can be fired from our jobs? He wants to bar us from seeing our partners in ER’s across the nation? No offense but this is the purest evil I have ever heard. It lacks any compassion that he has ever tried to convince us he has for “homosexuals”.
It appears that La Barbera failed science as well since he says:
“Greg Harris is the new homosexual rep representing ‘Boystown,’ which is the homosexual neighborhood in Chicago. He replaces another homosexual,” says LaBarbera. “He is HIV positive and even put … on his resume, publicly, that he has AIDS.” The Americans for Truth spokesman says he finds that both sad and ironic. “He’s bearing a disease that is caused by this lifestyle,” he notes, “and now he wants to take this lifestyle and say that it merits being called ‘marriage.”
Does he not know that HIV/AIDS is cause by a virus not a lifestyle? Is he unaware that most gays do not have AIDS? This type of language is so close to the propaganda of the Nazi’s is scares me. Gays are the source of disease. Gays are destroying marriage. Gays this and gays that. La Barbera is one misinformed man with evil works. He is saying that being gay is just a lifestyle, and that the lifestyle causes disease. Now lets look at the Nazi Propaganda again….
Insidious Jews spread disease like rats

“Jews are like rats that spread disease”, is what the Nazi’s claimed to incite fear in others about the Jews. This is the same tactic La Barbera is using. We as a society should be deeply alarmed that this type of hate speech is surfacing again.
In an interview with “Republicans for Fair Media,” La Barbera makes some of the most outrageous claims yet. Someone should just give him a soapbox and let him speak since his words are more damaging to his mission than anything I could say to expose his lies. He shoots himself in the foot when he makes statements like:
Exposing the “gay” threat to freedom: we will be highlighting the immense threat to our God-given liberties posed by homosexual activism. Across the world and here in America, the evidence is in that homosexual “rights” come at the expense of our basic freedoms of conscience, speech and association. The struggle between “gay rights” and religious freedom is a zero-sum game, as a prominent lesbian legal strategist, Chai Feldlum, recently admitted. This is why pastors must not abandon this struggle. To preserve our freedoms, AFTAH supports the full repeal of all “sexual orientation” laws.
This man’s words are amazing. I would guess he can’t hear himself and how hateful and crazy he sounds.
In more disturbing comments, La Barbera says:
The homosexual lobby has been cultivating and intimidating the media for decades. GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) is a very powerful group that actually gets access to Hollywood scripts on programs or movies about homosexuality — before the shows are produced! As I said, the media have decided for us that this is a “civil rights” issue, and so they often don’t even take seriously the idea that there is a whole other side on this issue. In the 1980’s, two homosexual activists and marketing experts laid out a strategy to “mainstream” homosexuality, and one of the goals was to “make straights the protectors of gays.” That is how most media see their role when it comes to the homosexual issue.

Of course the media has a double-standard. After all, most of the major media are now pro-”gay” almost as a matter of official policy. They love trumpeting “gay” victims, but never Christian victims. My goodness, right here in Chicago, the media almost completely ignored the murder trial of the homosexual killer of Mary Stachowicz despite the horrifyingly interesting story of this gruesome crime. Had a religious fanatic murdered a lesbian woman and then stuffed her body in the crawl space of his apartment — and then claimed that she attacked him (which Nicholas Gutierrez did to Stachowicz) — you had better believe that all the Chicago media would have devoted huge coverage to the case. But most media just don’t see homosexuality and abortion as very important, which is why they don’t try to cover our side with anything close to the sensitivity that they devote to “gays.”
What La Barbera is trying to proclaim is that Gays and Lesbians are in control of the media. This claim is so outrageous, but what the average citizens may not know is that these claims and tactics have been used before in our history with devastating results. Hitler’s Nazi party once made many of the same claims that La Barbera is making about gays and lesbians. Segregationist in the 50s and 60s made similar claims about blacks tp piant them as evil, criminal and diseased. La Barbera’s hate speech must be pointed out for what it is, hate not truth.
You have seen La Barbera statements above, now compare them with this piece from the Nazi Propaganda film, the Eternal Jew:

In essence, La Barbera is trying to make the same types of claims. In just this one interview La Barbera has made the following “untruthful” claims:

At the end of this disturbing article, La Barbera makes the call to arms to his fellow Christians asking them to stand up and fight “gays”. This is sick. It is the voice of violence.
La Barbera says gays are out to destroy freedom:
It’s up to us to educate ourselves and then others about these realities, and then to confront the media when they distort the pro-family cause or ignore stories that might not serve the “gay” agenda. Who was it who said eternal vigilance is the price of liberty? There is a powerful movement in this great nation seeking to establish “rights” based on changeable and unhealthy conduct that offends a holy God. We cannot abide that movement and pretend that our freedoms will stand.
La Barbera says to Christians:
More and more, it is becoming clear that the homosexual agenda cannot succeed without censorship and trampling over other people’s rights. So we must guard our freedoms and fight for our right to proclaim truth on this issue — and reach the next generation before America gets swept up in a sexual revolution that will lead to many people being persecuted simply for speaking their mind and “agreeing with God” on this crucial moral issue.
“Care must be taken, at least in our nation, that the deadliest enemy (the Jew) is recognized, and that the battle against him is seen as the shining symbol of a brighter day that will also show other peoples the path to the salvation of fighting Aryan humanity.”
This article from La Barbera is scary. Society should be outraged, but even more society needs to speak out this time.
